Meet our Team

Jim

Founder

Jim grew up around classic neighborhood barbershops—places built on community, loyalty, and honest conversation. He began cutting hair in his parents’ basement, perfecting his craft one fade at a time.

After years of training under seasoned master barbers, Jim opened his own shop with a simple promise: deliver quality cuts, treat people with respect, and make everyone feel like family. That promise became the foundation of E’s Barbershop.

E

Founder

E attended barber school in 2006 and began his barbering career in 2008. After spending 10 years building the first location—and following his father’s retirement from the business—E decided it was time to expand.

He opened a second location in Holly Springs, continuing the growth into Canton, Hickory Flat, Milton, Alpharetta, Jasper, and Ellijay. With God first, and with the support of business partners and family, the company has expanded to multiple locations, all committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Family-focused and purpose-driven, E is dedicated to raising the standard in the men’s grooming industry.

Tara

Owner/Operator

Tara has been a licensed hairdresser since 2009 and is AVEDA trained, with experience in both women’s hair and barbering. After nine years in women’s hair, she discovered her true passion in barbering, which she considers an art.

Inspired by her family’s background in hair, Tara and her husband opened the Hickory Flat location in 2021—one of the most rewarding decisions of her life—where she helps clients feel confident every day.

Mairin

Owner/Operator

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mairin began her barbering journey in 2016 after making a life-changing decision to pursue her passion. Since then, she has dedicated her craft to helping people feel confident, comfortable, and proud of who they are.

Her inspiration comes from people and the impact a fresh cut can have on someone’s confidence and day.

Carolyn

Owner/Operator

With over 20 years of experience, Carolyn Valentine brings skill, consistency, and genuine care to every cut. A licensed master barber, she began her career in a family-owned shop before refining her craft in various barbershops over the years.

After graduating from Paul Mitchell the School with a Master’s Cosmetology and Barber license, Carolyn stepped into leadership as a managing partner with E in the Milton, Georgia area.

Outside the shop, Carolyn is a devoted wife and mother of two sons.
